Basement Waterproofing & Tanking

Lateral damp penetration will occur at split levels and below ground level where there is no provision to prevent this from happening. Hydrostatic pressure, resulting in a flow of moisture may also occur in such situations. Change of use of basements in older buildings normally calls for some provision of lateral damp proofing to be undertaken. Failure of external damp proofing in modern buildings may also call for for a similar approach to the internal (or negative) side of the wall structure.

Deutsch Hey’di Cementtitious Slurry Tanking

This is a multi-coat system with component materials for specific situations. Appropriate uses include work on defective concrete and cement renders, especially where hydrostatic pressure is an issue. We have successfully used this system in flooded lift pits and “failed” new build basements that have flooded.

Profile Lath Membrane

Using a studded polyethylene or polypropylene sheeting to accommodate water removal by channelling it away via natural drainage or a sump pump system. More appropriate on damp rather than saturated surfaces, where there is no hydrostatic pressure.
